Education institutions (both formal and non formal or informal) is where the transfer of science and culture (civilization). Through the practice of education, learners are invited to see how historical or cultural experience can be transformed in the time of life that they’ll experience and prepare them in facing the challenges and demands that exist within it. Thus, the meaning of knowledge and culture are often forced to be combined because of the influence of age on knowledge if transformed.

Therefore the national education aims to prepare a new, more ideal society, namely people who understand the rights and obligations and actively participate in nation-building process. The essence of the national education goals is to foster the process of cultural forms of scientific, social, economic, political and better in a particular perspective must be based on a clear future. Through pendidikans activities, description of the ideal society was outlined in the minds of students that resulted in the formation processes and cultural displacement. This thinking implies that the institution as a place of human learning has a social function (an agent of change in society)

So whether our educational institutions, both formal an informal ataupu student participants have been able to deliver as an agent of social change in society?. For It is still questionable. Our educational institutions seem to be less successful in delivering their students as agents of social change in society, as evidenced by the lack of signufikan and comprehensive changes to the cultural and scientific problems of our society, and is still rampant commercialization of science in our educational institutions, the high cost of education and the orientation that only prepares students to meet the stock markets only work rather than see it as an object that can be formed to be an agent of social change in society.
